Symphonic Band to perform


The UGA Symphonic Band will give its final concert of the year April 23 at 8 p.m. in Hugh Hodgson Concert Hall. The ensemble, led by Hugh Hodgson School of Music professor Michael Robinson, is made up of talented undergraduate music majors, music minors and non-majors from across campus.

Baseball team travels to Vanderbilt


The Diamond Dogs will hit the road for a three-game series against Vanderbilt April 25 at 7:30 p.m., April 26 at 3 p.m. and April 27 at 2 p.m. Follow the live action on


Earth Week features sustainability panel and films
As part of UGA Earth Week, a panel will discuss "Inspiring Local Careers: Sustainable Athens" April 23 at 3:30 p.m. in the Larry Walker Room at Dean Rusk Hall. This career-oriented panel will feature Athens-based industry leaders in sustainability from Athens-Clarke County Government, Athens Land Trust, Georgia River Network, Noramco and Terrapin Brewery. Learn about internships in sustainability and recycling from local industry experts. At 7 p.m. that day, a "green" mini film festival is scheduled for Tate Student Center Theatre, featuring film shorts provided by the Eco-Focus Film Festival.
