The first Darwin Day celebration at UGA was held February 12, 1909 to mark the centennial of the birth of Charles Darwin, whose theory of evolution through natural selection is the foundation of modern biology. It has since evolved into a yearly event.

Friday Night Heights to be held at Ramsey

The department of recreational sports will sponsor Friday Night Heights on the Indoor Challenge Course Feb. 10 from 4 – 7 p.m. in the Ramsey Student Center. Participants can climb, walk around and negotiate nine adventure elements suspended 25 feet in the air. Ground school instruction and all equipment are provided.
