Dr. Joseph C. Hermanowicz

(Curriculum Vitae) Dr. Joseph Hermanowicz is Associate Professor of Sociology and a Fellow in the University's Institute of Higher Education. Dr. Hermanowicz has been at the University of Georgia since 1999. He received a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Chicago in 1996. His specialty areas include professions, occupations, and careers, life course studies, higher education, and the sociology of science. Dr. Hermanowicz's current research consists in the longitudinal study of academic careers.
