Jennifer McMahon
(Curriculum
Vitae) Jennifer McMahon has been a graduate student
at the University of Georgia since 2003. She received
her B.S. in Psychology and her B.A. in Criminal Justice
from the University of Georgia in 2000, and she received
her M.A. in Sociology from the University of Georgia
in 2005. Her area of specialization is Crime,
Law, and Deviance.
Ms. McMahon's current research concentrates on rape law and rape victimization. Her most recent research examines the state-to-state variation in the adoption of rape law reforms. Specifically, she is interested in how the social, political, and gender environments of states affect the adoption of marital rape laws. Also, she is currently working on research that examines the factors that affect rape victim reporting behavior.
