Carbohydrate Research Center
Technology transfer, collaborations with industry and academia,
and the provision of carbohydrate analytical services to the
scientific community are an integral part of the CCRC's mission.
CCRC personnel are presently engaged in more than 130 collaborations
with scientists at universities and corporations in Georgia,
the United States, North America, South America, Europe, and
Asia. |
Center
for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Processes
The mission of the Center is to become the premier research
unit worldwide in the study of biodiversity and ecosystem services.
Over fifty faculty from across the University of Georgia are
members of the Center. In addition, the Center has collaborative
links with the State Museum of Natural History, the State Botanical
Gardens, Highlands Biological Station, Archbold Biological Station,
the US Geological Survey, and the US Forest Service. |
Small Business Development Center
The Small Business Development Center
provides business and economic development assistance through
the Georgia SBDC Network of 19 offices. It is comprised of four
programmatic divisions: Business Expansion Support Services,
Economic Development Services, Minority Business Development,
and the Small Business Development Center. |
Carl
Vinson Institute of Government
The Carl Vinson Institute of Government has been part of the
University of Georgia's public service and outreach program
for more than 75 years. The institute works to improve the quality
of life for all Georgians through a program of instruction,
technical assistance, research, and publications for governments
and communities. |
College
of Family and Consumer Sciences Outreach
We enable parents and caregivers to provide positive guidance
and nuturance for children, encourage older Georgians to make
informed consumer decisions, and promote positive development
in children, youth and families at risk. We also teach Georgians
how to reduce exposure to environmental contaminants in the
home, enable consumers to acquire and maintain affordable housing,
and the most efficient ways to manage household demands on natural
resources. |
Cooperative
Extension
The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension extends lifelong
learning to Georgia citizens through unbiased, research-based education
in agriculture, the environment, communities, youth and families. UGA Cooperative
Extension offers educational programs, assistance and materials. |
Center for
Community Design and Preservation
The Center for Community Design and Preservation (CCDP) at the
College of Environment and Design (CED) provides service learning
experience for students in landscape architecture and historic
preservation. By utilizing a mix of professional and student
staff members, towns throughout the South have the opportunity
to obtain professional design services. |
Professional and Personal
Development
Professional and Personal Development provides quality enrichment
courses such as professional developement, consumer issues,
personal finance, computer training, foreign language, studio
arts, photography, dance, fitness, and small business applications. |
Volunteer UGA
Volunteer UGA, formerly Communiversity, was formed in 2004
as the campus volunteer center for the University of Georgia. Volunteer
UGA was designed to connect UGA students with the many opportunities for
community service in the Athens-Clarke County community and throughout
the region. |
Engineering Outreach
Service, Faculty of Engineering
Public service in engineering at the University of Georgia has
two main sections, extension and outreach. Extension provides
services for agricultural based problems, questions, and concerns.
Outreach focuses on waste reduction and by-product recovery
throughout businesses in Georgia. Both enhance Georgia's communities,
businesses, and industries. |

Forest Resources
The Daniel B. Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources has an array of outreach
programs serving the State of Georgia, the U.S., and the world,
educating in the areas of forestry and forest products, wildlife,
fisheries, aquaculture and fisheries, water resources, and related
natural resources. |
Georgia
2000 Information System
Georgia 2000 provides data from the 2000 Census, county vital
statistics, economic development agencies, school districts
and many more sources for Georgia and the Southeast. Free statistical
reports are available through easy-to-use menus or interactive
map. |
The Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center and Hotel
The Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center and Hotel brings all disciplines of the university together to help meet the lifelong learning needs of Georgia's citizens. In addition to the many workshops, seminars, and training sessions conducted on campus, the Georgia Center reaches learners in a variety of settings by creating and delivering a wide-range of online courses. |

The Georgia GIS Data Clearinghouse provides access to Geographic
Information Systems (GIS) resources of Georgia for use by government,
academia, and the private sector. Here you can view and obtain
GIS data, maps, information, and much more to help build effective
