Sejong

Since its inception in 1995, Sejong (formerly International Sejong Soloists) has established itself to be the premier, conductor-less string orchestra performing on major stages throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. Envisioned as a "cultural ambassador" by Artistic Director Hyo Kang, this unique ensemble brings together 14 individually distinguished solo and chamber musicians hailing from eight different nations: Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and the United States. The orchestra will be joined in Athens by acclaimed pianist Orli Shaham, who has been praised by critics for her "wit, passion, delicacy, and humor."
