Early Award
We anticipate we will begin generating estimated 2010-11 Early Awards by the first week of April 2010.
Early Awards will be an estimate of your financial aid eligibility for the 2010-11 Award Year using your 2010-11 Expected Family Contribution (EFC), and 2009-2010 Cost of Attendance Changes to your 2010-11 Student Aid Report (SAR) or awarding criteria will result in a revised estimate.
Once your estimated 2010-11 Early Award is created, you will receive a one time e-mail instructing you to go to OASIS to view your estimated Early Award. Subsequent e-mails are not generated for any revisions of your initial estimated Early Award; therefore, we encourage you to re-check your estimated Early Awards at least once each week.
Since the estimated Early Award is not your official Award, you should NOT act on it. It's sole purpose is to provide you an estimate of the 2010-11 aid for which it appears you will be eligible at the time the Early Award was generated (or revised).
We anticipate we will begin generating the official 20010-11 financial aid Awards June 2010. Your updated 2010-2011 Cost of Attendance and the actual Financial Aid you have been awarded will be reflected on your official 2010-11 Award. When we create your official 2010-11 Award we will notify you via e-mail and will provide you instructions on how to accept or decline any awarded aid which requires your acceptance (i.e. Loans, Federal Work-Study, etc).
