Safe Space UGA
Safe Space

UGA Safe Space Programis a campus-wide initiative that offers a visible message of inclusion, acceptance, and support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) people in the University community. The program  offers participants a three-and-a-half-hour orientation to raise awareness and knowledge of LGBTQ issues and to suggest ways to serve as an ally to LGBTQ individuals.

Participants also receive an overview of educational resources that will augment their learning. Following the orientation, participants may receive a Safe Space decal to display in their work or living space and a lapel pin to wear at public events. For more information about Safe Space and check dates and times of upcoming sessions, go to www.uga.edu/safespace.
