UGA's Performing and Visual Arts Complex provides some of the finest facilities in the South for teaching, research and performance in the fine arts. The Complex includes the Hodgson School of Music; the Performing Arts Center, which has a 1,100-seat auditorium for major concerts and musical performances; the Lamar Dodd School of Art, which opened in 2008 and includes studios, lecture halls, galleries, a media center and an eco-friendly "green roof;" and the Georgia Museum of Art with 9,000 square feet of exhibition space.
During the fall of 2011, the UGA Libraries' three special collections libraries will relocate from the Main Library to the new Special Collections Libraries building currently under construction at 300 Hull Street. The Special Collections Libraries Building plans to open fully to the public with normal service and access to exhibit galleries in January 2012.

The Performing Arts Center embarks on its 15th season of bringing the world's finest entertainers to Athens.
Along with his bachelor’s degrees in biochemistry and molecular biology and business administration, Trey Sinyard will take another title when he graduates this month: Tradition Keeper. Sinyard completed 45 of the 47 traditions in the Student Alumni Association’s G Book. For Sinyard, “This was a great way to bring closure to an awesome four years of college.”
