The Honors in Washington Internship Program awards 10 students a $3,000 stipend to support their summer participation in an internship program in a congressional office, an executive agency, or a nonprofit organization. Placements are provided by the Honors Program. Students have the opportunity to earn academic credit for the internship, either through their major department (if available) or through an approved Honors Program internship course.

All internships take place during the summer and require a minimum of 8 weeks participation with the internship. Only second- and third-year (based on date of enrollment) Honors students are eligible to apply. For further information, contact Maria de Rocher in the Honors Program.

Download the Honors Internship Application.

For information regarding internships in Washington during the fall or spring semesters, contact Don DeMaria, Director of the Washington Semester Program.
