Ken Holley - First Person March 2010 Issue “I was a resident of Myers Hall and played drums. I met a guitar player who lived on the first floor named Jim Spruell (art school). We wanted to put together a band for the Creswell Talent Show and recruited a shy bass player who lived in one of the few single rooms on the fourth floor of the Myers dorm. We called ourselves ‘Crossfire’ and performed three songs and were generally well received by the Creswell crowd that night. However, our shy bass player turned out to be Mike Mills who went on to form R.E.M. with Peter Buck, Michael Stipe and Bill Berry and the rest is rock ‘n’ roll history.” — Ken Holley (BBA ’80) Read full article at http://uga.edu/gm/ee/index.php?/single/2010/03/747/.
