Doctorate in epidemiology - Around the Arch December 2011 Issue The UGA College of Public Health will begin offering a Ph.D. in epidemiology in fall 2012, the first public institution in Georgia to offer that degree. Recognizing the need for in-depth public health research in the state, UGA administrators say the new degree will prepare a new generation of epidemiologists to move directly into the professional sphere.
