The UGA Dance Marathon, which has an 18-year history on campus, raised a record $507,203 in February to benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. Sponsored by the student organization UGA Miracle, the 24-hour dance-a-thon drew more than 1,000 participants to the Tate Student Center Grand Hall. The goal for this year was to raise $415,000, a 20 percent increase over last year’s total. Including this year’s numbers, UGA Miracle has raised more than $4 million since its inception.
