UGA grass at Florida resort
Turf grass developed by UGA Crop and Soil Sciences Professor Wayne Hanna is featured on the Wannamaker Golf Course at the PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, Fla. The course reopened this fall with its new TifEagle greens and TifGrand tee boxes. Both are varieties of hybrid Bermuda grass and are designed to withstand warm weather and maintain environmental sustainability. The Georgia Crop Improvement Association at UGA certified the grass to meet the highest level of golfing standards.
