Doctorate in epidemiology

The UGA College of Public Health will begin offering a Ph.D. in epidemiology in fall 2012, the first public institution in Georgia to offer that degree. Recognizing the need for in-depth public health research in the state, UGA administrators say the new degree will prepare a new generation of epidemiologists to move directly into the professional sphere. The college will start accepting applications in January.
