Kristy grew up in Reading, Pennsylvania and attended Penn State University where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and a minor in Spanish.  During the spring of her junior year, Kristy spent the semester abroad in Salamanca, Spain where she lived with a Spanish family and became fluent in the language.  Her experience overseas helped her make the move to Memphis, TN upon graduation from Penn State.  In Tennessee, Kristy worked for International Paper as a Financial Analyst for over 2.5 years, beginning in the Corporate Credit Department and then moving into the Corporate Sales and Marketing Group.

 

It was through friends of hers who drove the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile, that Kristy was able to make contacts at Deloitte & Touche in Atlanta where she was soon offered a consulting position.  Ready for a move from Memphis, Kristy relocated to Atlanta where she lived for over 1.5 years working for Deloitte. 

 

Kristy is super excited to be in Athens and to get to experience the south even more than she has already!  From her days at Penn State to the more recent ones at UGA, Kristy has loved every minute of being in school.  During her second year as a Terry MBA student, Kristy will be concentrating in Real Estate/Finance as well as continuing to serve as a member of various clubs such as the GBA and GWBA.   From college football Saturdays to meeting great new friends and learning more about an exciting college town, Kristy has loved every bit of her experience at UGA and hopes to make her second and final year even better!
