gba vice president

Jacob Estes was born in Atlanta, GA.  Jacob has one amazing sister named Chelsea who is in her second year at Kennesaw State University where she teaches and plays flute.  Jacob’s mother, Margaret Estes, is an artist who has managed the education and festivals for noted museums in the Atlanta area.  Jacob’s father, Jack Estes, is a University of Georgia alum and musician as well as private business owner in the Atlanta area where he now works with PFG Milton’s Food Distributing in Sales.

After attending Tucker High School, Jacob attended Reinhardt College on a full scholarship where he played basketball for two years as a Georgia Alabama Carolina Conference Academic All American.  In 2001, Jacob made the jump to the University of Georgia on a full academic scholarship.  He then managed to graduate Magna Cum Laude with degrees in Advertising and Anthropology.  Immediately following graduation, he began working for Barkley Evergreen & Partners.  After a year of employment within the Atlanta office, Jacob was promoted to National Tour Manager within the External Marketing division in Three Wide Marketing, a subdivision within Barkley Evergreen.

As a National Tour Manager, Jacob managed national promotional tours in 40 of the lower 48 states for two years.  After the constant travel and wealth of experience, he decided his career would be best suited by accomplishing his MBA.  Jacob, with such an extensive travel background, knew exactly where he wanted to be, Athens, GA.  As a first year MBA student Jacob was nominated as one of the two vice presidents of his class.  He is a very social, outgoing, caring individual with an extensive background in event planning.
