MUSEUM LIBRARY

The Georgia Museum of Art maintains a non-lending library that is available to researchers and the public by appointment. To make an appointment, please call 706.542.4662.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m.-4:45 p.m.

The museum reference library features more than 5,000 volumes of scholarly works, exhibition catalogues, historical books, and art appreciation books and is located on the third floor of the museum. The library is in the process of being entered into the Universtiy of Georgia's online library database, https://gil.uga.edu/.

The library does not permit books to be checked out and taken off the premises, but the public is welcome to read the books at the library.

  • Catalogue raisonné of Muirhead Bone (3 CDs)

  • Periodicals (American Art Review, The Art Newspaper, The Magazine Antiques)

Library Rules

  • Sign in at receptionist's desk.
  • No food or drinks.
  • No pens. Pencils only.
  • No book bags, backpacks, large purses, etc.
  • Copies are $.10 per page.
