Elegant Salute XI: "A Hardhat Salute"

The Friends of the Georgia Museum of Art will host the 11th biennial Elegant Salute fundraiser on Saturday, November 8, at the Georgia Museum of Art. This year's gala, "A Hard Hat Salute," celebrates the museum's forthcoming groundbreaking for its new wing, which will start construction in the spring of 2009.

"A Hard Hat Salute" is co-chaired by Ann Scoggins and Rinne Allen, who are assisted by a dedicated committee of volunteers. "'A Hard Hat Salute' will be relaxed and more fun (than past Salutes)," said Scoggins. "It's a different type of Salute, but it will still have its elegance." The evening will begin at 7 p.m. with a reception in the museum's lobby and café until the start of dinner at 8 p.m.
