Dr. Maria Navarro
Dr. Maria Navarro is an assistant professor in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication. She teaches undergraduate and graduate students in courses in international agriculture and development, program planning and evaluation, technological change, and hunger issues. Her research and outreach programs focus on student learning and curriculum change, and on education, communication, and extension issues affecting agricultural and human development in various areas of the world.
Dr. Navarro is from Barcelona , Spain , and has an undergraduate degree in agricultural engineering (Polytechnical University of Catalonia) and a Ph.D. in agricultural education ( Texas A&M University ). Before coming to the US , she worked in the International Center for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies, coordinating agricultural training and cooperation projects in thirteen countries.
