Jesus Is Nailed to the Cross
Eleventh Station: Jesus is nailed to the Cross
The Eleventh Station
We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

Huge nails are hammered through his hands and feet to fix him on the cross.  He is bleeding much more seriously now.  As the cross is lifted up, the weight of his life hangs on those nails.  Every time he struggles to pull himself up to breathe, his ability to cling to life slips away.

If I had nails driven through the palms of my hands and through my feet, I would probably faint from the suffering.  I hate suffering.  But so did you, Lord.  I know, however, that I must suffer sometimes in my life.  I can either waste it by resenting it or I can accept it out of love for you and to make up for my sins.  Then it has a saving value, as your suffering did.
