1. How do I get football tickets?
All UGA students will register for student season tickets (football, basketball, & gymnastics) online at georgiadogs.com. For convenience, add this following link to your favorites for student ticket information.
2. What can I do with my UGA Card?
The UGA Card serves as an access card for residence halls, dining halls, and as a library card. If student fees are paid for the term, students can access (but are not limited to) Ramsey, obtain student discounts, ride Athens Transit buses for free, use the University Health Center, purchase athletic event tickets, use of residence hall laundry facilities, vending machines, on campus eateries, and much more.
3. Where is my class?
When you print your schedule from OASIS, make sure you print the screen that has a number combination that looks like this 0000-0000. The first 4 digit combination corresponds with buildings and the second 4 digit combination is the room number in the building. Building numbers can be found in the back of the semesterly Schedule of Classes at the Tate Information Desk.
4. How do I get advised?
You must first contact your school. If you have not declared a major (undecided), or are in a pre-professional program (i.e. pre-vet,
pre-nursing, pre-med, etc.) you will probably need to contact the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences (542-3400). Each school/college has a specific advising procedure so call your particular school/college to find out more information. You MUST be advised in order to be cleared for registration.
5. What is there to do on campus?
There are over 560 registered student organizations at UGA. The Student Programming Office puts on various events for the campus community including Welcome Week, Dawgs After Dark, Homecoming and many other concerts, lectures and performances throughout the academic year including summer, check out the Campus Life Calendar. Many other college, schools, departments, student organizations have various events throughout the year. Many are often advertised in the Tate Student Center and Memorial Hall. Activities fairs are held in fall and spring semesters. Visit Center for Student Organizations for details.
6. Where can I get a campus directory?
New directories are typically published by the end of fall semester. Make sure the Registrar’s Office has your correct address and phone number in order to be included in the directory. Students living in the residence halls should receive a directory from their resident assistants. Students living off-campus can get a complimentary directory from the Tate Student Center Information Desk with their UGACards.
7. What does the Department of Campus Life have to offer?
The Department of Campus Life is comprised of the Administration Office, Campus Reservations Office, Technical Services,
International Student Life Information Desk, Legion Pool, Student Programming Office, Print & Copy Services, Business Office, Cashier’s Window, the National Student Exchange plus much more.
8. Where can I park and how do I get a parking permit?
Most parking lots require a parking permit during normal business hours but there are several pay lot/deck options in various campus locations. To find out where you can park or to purchase a permit check out Parking Services or call 542-PARK.
9. Where can I get a copy of my transcript?
A copy of your transcript can be obtained by stopping by the Registrar’s Office, located on the 1st floor of the Holmes/Hunter Academic Building or log on to OASIS.
10. How do I get around campus?
Campus Transit and Athens Transit bus schedules are available in the Tate Student Center across from the Cashier’s Window and Information Desk.
11. Where are the ATM machines?
Wachovia, SouthTrust, SunTrust, and Bank of America have ATM machines on the Tate plaza adjacent to the bookstore. There is an ATM located in Russell Hall as well as the Ramsey Center.
12. Where can I purchase a meal plan or eat on campus?
