ATHENS, GA – Victoria Henley, a 16-year-old from Colquitt, Georgia, has been named Miss University of Georgia Outstanding Teen for 2010.
Henley was selected from among four finalists following a screening process and interviews held on Oct. 18 at the Tate Student Center. She will appear at the 2010 Miss University of Georgia Scholarship Pageant on Jan. 16, 2010 and will go on to participate in the Outstanding Teen Competition at the Miss Georgia Pageant later in the year.
A trained vocalist and fashion model, Henley attends homeschool for her high school curriculum and is concurrently enrolled in college courses. She has acted in numerous stage productions and recently wrote a stage play titled “Sister Queens.” The production takes a comedic look at Henley’s experiences competing in pageants since she was a young child.
First runner-up for Miss UGA Outstanding Teen was Amelia Hunt, 14, of Acworth, second-runner up was Macall Brown, 14, of Monroe, and third runner-up was Haley Watkins, 16, of Temple.
