Guidelines on Third Party Access

Introduction

These guidelines are intended to ensure appropriate use of AMAC computing services by third parties.

AMAC may choose to provide or not provide computing services to defined third party users and may limit the types of services provided.  These decisions are based upon consideration of mission, available resources, or other needs and priorities.

Guidelines

A.  Defining Appropriate Use

AMAC must create written statements which clearly describe the purposes for which the computing services are provided and must require that users confirm to these purposes.

B.      Ensuring Compliance

AMAC must have in place a process for authorizing any use of computing services (hereafter known as Account).  For each Account, an individual must be identified as the User.  AMAC must notify Users and Users agree:

  1. That they are responsible for any use of the service by means of that Account;
  2. That they must use the Account only for the defined purpose;
  3. That they must abide by applicable regulations including the AMAC Acceptable Use Policy and any other regulations AMAC include in written policies.

C.      Termination of Accounts

AMAC should have procedures in place for timely closure of Accounts when Users are no longer eligible for services.
