The University attracts students nationally and internationally
as well as from within the State of Georgia and enjoys a graduate
enrollment of approximately 5,600 graduate students and a
total research expenditure in excess of $165 million.
The Graduate School
The Graduate School administers all graduate programs of the
University. It offers the general degrees, Master of Arts
and Master of Science, in 26 and 40 disciplines, respectively,
and the Doctor of Philosophy degree in 71 disciplines. Professional
master's degrees are offered in 22 areas, the Specialist in
Education degree in 23 areas, and professional doctoral degrees
in education, music, and public administration.

As a comprehensive institution, the University of Georgia
offers baccalaureate, professional, master, and doctoral degrees
in the arts, humanities, social sciences, biological sciences,
physical sciences, agricultural and environmental science,
business, environmental design, family and consumer sciences,
forest resources, journalism and mass communication, education,
law, pharmacy, social work, and veterinary medicine.
