School of Public and International Affairs
The School of Public and International Affairs is the home
of three academic departments: Department of International
Affairs, Department of Political Science, and Department of
Public Administration and Policy. It includes two centers:
Center for International Trade and Security (CITS) and Center
for the Study of Global Issues (GLOBIS). It also includes
two co-sponsored programs: the Criminal Justice Studies Program
(with the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences) and the Institute
for Nonprofit Organizations (with the School of Social Work).
Faculty members in the School of Public and International
Affairs are known throughout the University of Georgia for
their excellence in teaching. Two have received the University's
most prestigious teaching award; five have been selected for
college-level teaching awards; and three have been recognized
for teaching excellence by the University's Honors Program.
