Academic Support

Office of the Registrar
Academic records for all students at the University of Georgia are maintained in the Office of the Registrar. In addition, the office provides the following services: registration, eWithdrawals, schedule of classes, key dates, ARCHE cross registration, tuition remission, record services, transcripts, certification, change of address, name change, diploma replacement, graduation, commencement information, graduation requirements and diplomas.

UGA Bulletin
The UGA Bulletin is the official publication for academic matters at UGA. Find course information, a campus profile, admissions policies, financial aid information, degree requirements, and information about Campus Life, services, and opportunities.

Student Learning Center

UGA's new Student Learning Center is an innovative, technologically advanced and comprehensive learning environmen–a unique combination of library and instruction space, classrooms, the best in campus computing and instructional support for faculty. There are more than 500 computer workstations loaded with software and research sources. Wireless access inside and out means staying connected from such areas as the North Terrace and South Plaza.

Honors Program
The Honors Program at the University of Georgia is designed to provide the ablest students with resources they need to make the most of their undergraduate experiences. Special classes, individualized attention, opportunities for independent research and close contact combine the depth of a liberal arts college with the breadth of a major research university.

MyUGA
MyUGA is a customized portal where University of Georgia students can access the web-based services and information important to them. As a gateway to web access, MyUGA is your self-managed, personalized, and customized information environment.

OASIS
OASIS allows you to register for classes, view class schedules, and view your student-related information online.

WebCT
WebCT contains links to all of the courses that you are taking along with announcements, bookmarks, and other information.

Division of Academic Enhancement
The Division of Academic Enhancement offers a source of programs and tutorial / learning centers designed to ensure that entering and continuing students have access to a wide range of academic services to support their academic endeavors.

Tutorial Program
The Tutorial Program employs academically successful students to help their peers develop effective study skills, review material, and work on general concepts. earning Center Services.

Learning Center
The staff in the Learning Center work with students individually and in groups in several areas of instruction including counseling, reading/study strategies, mathematics and writing.

Academic Enhancement Satellite Office
The Academic Enhancement Satellite Office offers free tutoring, study groups, newsletters, test review sessions, academic counseling, and programs on issues such as time management, study skills, and stress reduction for any student who lives in Russell, Creswell, and Brumby Halls.

Freshman College Summer Experience
The University of Georgia offers an exciting alternative to regular summer school that provides you with an early start on your academic career - The Freshman College Summer Experience.

Undergraduate Academic Advising
Academic advisement is essential to a student's successful educational experience at UGA. Ultimately, selection of appropriate courses is the responsibility of the student, however, advisers assist students with such things as registration, planning a program of study and assuring that requirements of both the University and individual degree programs are met.

Career Center

The Career Center facilitates, motivates, and empowers students to explore options and pursue careers, helping students understand the vital link between their academic major and potential career choices.

University Testing Services
Testing Services is responsible for the administration of university-wide testing programs, including the Regents', U.S. and Georgia Constitution and History tests, Orientation testing, proficiency and entrance testing, language placement testing, and Independent Study exams. Hours are limited and appointments are required for some of the testing programs. Test dates and registration instructions for the group administrations of selected programs are provided in the OASIS registration system and in the Schedule of Classes each term. Testing Services also administers numerous national testing programs such as the GRE, GMAT, MAT, MCAT, CLEP, LSAT, TOEFL, and SAT. Computer Based Testing (CBT) is available for the GRE, GMAT, NBPTS, PRAXIS I, and TOEFL. Information and registration packets for national testing programs can be obtained from the lobby of Clark Howell Hall. Further information regarding testing may be obtained by contacting the testing information line at 542-TEST (8378)

Multicultural Services and Programs
The Office of Multicultural Services and Programs is a place where the experiences of people of color can be explored and celebrated. Drafted on the ideals of two UGA students, Multicultural Services and Programs (MSP) first opened its doors in September of 1989. MSP’s mission is to enhance the university’s environment by promoting student leadership and academic achievement, to celebrate the contribution and heritage of UGA’s diverse population, and to encourage the full participation of all students, faculty, and staff. MSP is a department of Intercultural Affairs within the Division of Student Affairs.

DRC (diability resource center)
The Disability Resource Center (DRC) provides academic and support services to qualified students with disabilities to ensure equal access to all programs and activities at the University of Georgia.

Learning Disabilities Center
The Learning Disabilities Center at The University of Georgia is committed to the lifelong development of individuals with learning disabilities.

Writing Center
Workshops and one-on-one appointments with writing consultants to provide assistance at any stage of the writing process.

Bioscience Learning Center

The Bioscience Learning Center (Biology Building, Room 406) is your resource for information related to the Biology classes you are taking.

Chemistry Learning Center (CLC)
The Chemistry Learning Center (CLC) is an educational resource for undergraduates and faculty. To fulfill this goal, the CLC provides students with a diverse assortment of resources to aid them in their studies.

Center for Teaching and Learning
The central mission of CTL is to provide campus-wide leadership on matters relating to instruction. By coordinating a wide variety of programs and activities, CTL serves faculty, administrators, and graduate teaching assistants (TAs) in each of the University's schools and colleges.

Project Promote
Project Promote is a resource site intended to offer active support to early career faculty at the University of Georgia. The heart of this site is the Question and Answer Center, a dynamic tool in which early career faculty may choose whether or not to reveal their identity when posting a question.
