The University of Georgia
Libraries include three principal libraries on the UGA
campus in Athens, with several branch locations throughout
the state. The Main Library collects materials in the social
sciences, humanities and business. The Science
Library contains holdings for the physical and life sciences.
The Student Learning Center
provides access to electronic library holdings and research
and study space for 2,240 students. Together the Libraries
own over 3.5 million volumes and over 5 million microform
units. Items in the collection can be identified through GIL,
the UGA Libraries' online catalog. Administratively separate,
the UGA
Law Library has its own catalog, GAVEL.

Student Learning Center
The Student Learning Center, a 200,000-square-foot electronic
library and classroom facility at the heart of campus, is
designed to function for the way today's students learn. It
contains over 500 computers for accessing the world wide web,
21,000 full-text journals and 29,000 full-text books, GALILEO
research databases and electronic indexes and software packages.
Access is through fully wired study carrels with over 2000
data drops and a pervasive wireless network. Students will
also enjoy the 96 group study rooms and coffee shop.

Tifton Campus
Digital Library of Georgia
The Digital Library of Georgia is a gateway to Georgia's history
and culture found in digitized books, manuscripts, photographs,
newspapers, audio, video, and other materials.
Griffin Campus
Library
The Griffin Campus Research Facility library, a branch of
the University of Georgia Libraries, houses a representative
collection of agricultural and applied economics, biological
and agricultural engineering, crop and soil science, entomology,
food science and technology, horticulture, plant genetic resources
conservation, and related subjects. The Library is located
in the Stuckey Building.
Hargrett
Rare Book and Manuscript Library
The Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library of the University
of Georgia consists of the Rare Book and Manuscript Library,
the Georgiana Collection, the University of Georgia Archives
and Records Management. The Library serves the University
scholarly community, as well as scholars and researches worldwide.
Subject interests include Georgia, Book Arts, Theater, Music,
History, Literature, Journalism and Genealogy.
Richard B. Russell
Library for Political Research and Studies
The Russell Library is the only repository in Georgia directed
solely toward support of scholarly research in modern political
history, and it is the first repository to document modern
politics and policy development in the Southeast.
Science Library
The Science Library at the University of Georgia supports
collections for research and instruction in the basic and
applied sciences. The collection presently has over 750,000
volumes and over 3,000 print journal titles with access to
19,000 full-text electronic journals on all subjects through
the Electronic
Journal Locator.
Skidaway
Institute of Oceanography Library
The Skidaway Institute Library is the largest in the state
devoted almost exclusively to marine science. The 6,100 square
foot facility contains holdings of 4,000 book volumes and
17,000 serial volumes.

Campbell King Law Library
The primary purpose of the Law Library is to provide resources
and services to support the instructional mission of the School
of Law and the scholarly research of the law faculty. The
Law Library also serves as the major source of legal information
for students and faculty of the entire university and as a
supplementary resource for attorneys and private citizens
in the state.

Career
Center Library
The Career Center Library contains hundreds of helpful books,
newspapers, magazines and video career resources. Additionally,
several computers are available for taking self-assessment
"career tests", as well as for other career-related
usage.
