College of Environment & Design
The College of Environment & Design was formed in 2001
and is the first new college at UGA since 1969. The college
combines the existing School of Environmental Design with
the Institute of Ecology.
The college is slated to be one of the nation's leading centers
for research, teaching and outreach on such environmental
issues as species protection, preservation of natural resources,
urban design and development, and global climate change.
